Widget Google Reviews

Subject: Google Review widget displays reviews in English instead of French — “Google Map Language” setting has no effect

I’m using the Google Review widget (PRO) with Google Places API as the data source, configured via the plugin’s general settings (API key entered in the “Google Map API Key” field).

My business reviews on Google are originally written in French, but the widget displays them in English — it looks like Google is translating them into English instead of showing the original French text (or a French translation).

I found a “Google Map Language” setting in the general plugin settings and set it to French, but it had no effect on the Google Review widget — I confirmed this by testing in a private browsing window and after clearing the widget’s cached data, and the reviews still show in English.

It seems this language setting only applies to the Google Maps widget and isn’t passed through to the Places API request used by the Google Review widget. Could you please check whether the language parameter can be connected to this widget as well, so reviews display in the site’s configured language (French, in my case) instead of defaulting to English?
