Widget Empty spaces / Thumbnail clickable redirects

I finally found a plugin I can use to crawl news from external rss feeds into a sidebar widget .. however, there is an empty space under each thumbnail and the image is not clickable to redirect the user.. you have to precisely click on the title of each Item to redirect.
Also, each Item title is almost merged with the exercept of above/previous Item, hard to distingush which is the title and which is the excerpt…
How can I fix these issues? Thank you for your nice plugin!
