    1.4.x – Example.com/questions/title
    2.0.2 – Example.com/questions/title/randomnumber
    2.0.5 – Example.com/questions/question/title

I have no clue what will happen with the next update.

There was an option to remove question prefix in 1.4.x and now that’s gone.

Plus, there’s no option to customize the permalink. I’m seriously trying to find a way to get away from this plugin.

Guess what would have happened to my if I had let Google crawl the Q&A site?

@rahul – Why are you changing the permalink as with each update?

We did last improvement of permalink to:
    domain.com/question/your-question-title/
No more base page in permalink, which increase the length of permalink. Also we have preserved the old permalink structure. So when user visit old permalink then they will not see a 404 error.

You just cannot do that and not informing the users and adding in the release notes.

It should have been given as a option for users and as a developer you just can’t go changing around the permalink structure after you have released to to public considering the implications it has on search results. Plus, you don’t give an option to edit the Permalink as well.

I took the update from github with buddypress fatal error fix and guess what?

    My current permalink is

    Example.com/questions/question/title

not what you said it should be

    domain.com/question/your-question-title/

Even between 2.02 to 2.0.5 you have changed the structure.

So, if I had 100o Q&A’s, you have crated 2000 redirects?

Why was this marked as resolved?

Latest URL is not the same as what you said? Are you planning to change the URL again?

Check master commit. And use clone to get new files.
No, it will not change anymore.

And make sure you save your permalink once after updating.
