Why so many lockouts?

    Hi,

    I have changed my wp-login to a custom url and have set the option to auto block anyone visiting wp-login, but since doing so I’ve had a very large amount of traffic being blocked (mainly Russia)for visiting this page.
    Just so you know I’m also using NinjaFirewall+ and Wordfence for the malware scanner only all other options are disabled.

    Is this normal activity, or are hackers are trying to access my site?

    Hi!

    That’s pretty normal nowadays, many people don’t even know how many bots and hackers are trying to get into WordPress dashboard until they have installed Cerber or have got hacked website. Cerber can handle all those attempts very well, no worries. Just grab popcorn, take a seat and watch. 🙂

    I’m amazed of how many attempts are being made, that is quite worrying for sites with no protection. Thank you for the reassurance.
