Why Namaste ?

Well here I am asking non technical and could be off topic!
I am rather curious why the name of the plug-in is Namaste! ?
In Hindi, (originally in Sanskrit), “Namaste” means- “Salutes to you“.
Is there any other meaning attached to the same word in some other language?
