Is there any way to improve the search function within woocommerce, specifically for searching through users? There doesn’t seem to be any set parameters for showing results. I will for example search ‘mary’ or ‘smith’ and nothing will show even with someone registered with username ‘marysmith’ with their registered name being ‘mary smith’. But someone else eg username ‘tomsmith’ with name ‘tom smith’ will show in the results when I search ‘tom’. It would save a lot of time and frustration if I could just search any term and if that term is anywhere in their account details, they would show in the results. Thanks

  • Hi @michiko3343. What you describe here:

It would save a lot of time and frustration if I could just search any term and if that term is anywhere in their account details, they would show in the results.

is exactly how the user search function is supposed to work.

Do you have any sort of caching on your site? That would be the most likely culprit for inconsistent search results. Try resetting/clearing the cache and see if that helps, and let us know if it doesn’t!

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved. Feel free to start a new thread if you have any further questions!
