You probably have automatic tax collection enabled inside your PayPal account. The plugin does not communicate this with the PayPal account so the account adds taxes on top of whatever was passed in.
Yeah this is what I tought at the begining, but there’s no way in PayPal settings about taxes. At least not anymore.
I don’t know where to look…
Hi @johntudorache,
The plugin takes the taxes from WooCommerce and shouldn’t add anything by beyond that. There is currently a known issue that can result in the taxes from the shipping costs being added to the actual shipping costs instead of the taxes within the PayPal interface.
The latest pre-release version resolves that issue though: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-paypal-payments/releases/tag/1.7.1-test1
We are not aware of any other issues with incorrect taxes, so we would appreciate if you could provide more details and maybe a screenshot of where you are seeing these values being added.
Thanks!
Kind regards,
Niklas
Hi. Actually what happens is that on the paypal email I receive there is the cost without vat, the vat and total.
I would like to have just total price, without vat and no vat product price.
Hi @johntudorache,
The PayPal Payments plugin doesn’t have a direct impact on what the emails from PayPal look like though.
Modifying the emails sent by WooCommerce would be possible by adapting the mail templates, but if you want any changes to the emails PayPal sends out, then I would suggest reaching out to the PayPal MTS as this is beyond the scope of the integration. I don’t know if that’s even possible as in some regions it may be a legal requirement to display taxes. But PayPal should be able to tell you more about it.
Kind regards,
Niklas
