this drives me crazy, I can’t figure it out why this stupid | appears.

This is my website http://www.kodulehetegemine.ee Hopefully someone will help me out.

That is a separator, to separate your page name from site title. It could be | , – etc. I’m not an expert, and maybe this isn’t a right way, but you can try to go under Titles and Metas> Post Types> Pages and you will see something like this %%title%% %%page%% %%sep%% %%sitename%%. You could try to change %%sep%% to whatever you like: maybe ‘-‘ or try to delete it if you don’t want separator at all.
I think you should keep | and add your sitename after it? 🙂
Hope that will work for you…

When you use %%sep%%, the plugin uses the separator defined in your themes wp_title()tag.

As Nick suggests, you can replace %%sep%%, with whatever you prefer.

removed everything from Post Types, but it still appears in there.

and I don’t want to replace this %%sep%% for something. I need that my website main page title is just a XXX and not XXX- or XXX.
