Why do some forms need a Line Break element?

Hi,

Under the Message Body of 2 of my contact forms, I’m forced to add <br> Line Break elements to separate each line of items.

However, on my other 3 contact forms, I don’t need to add <br> code, a simple return from my keyboard will do just fine. In fact, if I do add <br> code to the Message Body for these 3 other forms, the <br> code will show in the final email.

Why do some contact forms allow Line Breaks and others do not?
