Upon checking with my test site, I am not able to reproduce the same issue.

Perhaps your issue is related to a cache system that may block web browser to load the latest changes in your site after updating. Have you tried clearing cache? Ref: https://wordpress.org/support/article/i-make-changes-and-nothing-happens/.
