Why did the developers remove these controls?

I want to show a screen capture to help everyone sees this, but this form does not allow me to put one in.

The problem I’m looking at is that a row of controls are missing form the new upgrade of WordPress 4.5.3. I can’t swipe text and color it. I don’t have normal indent controls like I use to have where I could indent paragraphs fast and easy. There are other user friendly controls missing, like I said an entire row of controls that didn’t need to be removed. Why is it that once you programmers get something you right, you try to reinvent the wheel and take out the good stuff while making thing worse than they were before? These other control need to be restored.

I do love the distraction free mode and the way a page moves when working on a long presentation page offering a lot of information while creating a funnel to entice conversions of sales, but could we please get back the other controls that use to be there?
