why auto update plugin?

    Why was the main plugin auto updated to 4.0? and without any notice to users? (and no, no auto-update was enabled on the site)

    Luckily we had a backup of old plugin, so we could revert back so users could access their courses and everything.

    Tutor LMS does not automatically update itself.

    Plugin updates are managed by **WordPress** or your hosting environment. In some cases, managed hosting providers or WordPress configurations may automatically install plugin updates, even if auto-updates appear to be disabled.

    If Tutor LMS 4.0 was installed without any action from you, it’s likely that the update was triggered by your WordPress or hosting environment rather than by Tutor LMS itself.

    If you’d like, you can check with your hosting provider to determine what initiated the update.
