Why are Hyper links not clickable WP 4.0 ?

    I have noticed that when I cut and past text into a post on WordPress that any links within the post i.e. http://www.randomsite.com are not clickable, is this normal for WordPress 4.0?

    I seem to have to select each link and convert them to a link, this frankly is a pain in the rear, when you are trying to automate some tasks.

    Have I missed something? or do I have to use a plugin. Shouldn’t that be standard to make links clickable in a post?
