whitelist all internal links

    When I post a link in a topic on my own site in our community forums (bbPress), I get this error:

    “A potentially unsafe operation has been detected in your request to this site”

    Is there any way to whitelist all internal site links in this type of scenario? It’s nice to have external links blocked, but just not internal links.

    Hi @andrew55,

    That’s pretty interesting, I haven’t seen links specifically in a forum post trigger this before so it’s my understanding that posts without links are not causing blocks?

    Are you using PHP8? If you are, try running the site on 7.4 again and see if this block goes away. We’ve noticed the parser can be a little overreactionary sometimes.

    Otherwise, it may be necessary depending on how bbPress stores its posts to disable “Scan posts for known dangerous URLs and suspicious content” and/or “Scan comments for known dangerous URLs and suspicious content” in Wordfence > All Options > General Options

    Let me know how you get on with trying those out.
