White-Space problem

    Hello,

    I don’t manage to fix the white-space problem, as I get the error message. It happens already to me before, on others website, but back then the simple fact of minifying the functions.php of my child theme did resolve the problem.

    So this time I’ve tried :
    – To desactivate each plugin one by one and refresh the updraft plus page each time
    – To minify all the files includes in my child theme, absolutely all of them.

    None of these get my problem solved… And I have to present my website for an examination in 5 days…

    Any idea plz ?

    Hi,

    Can you try to switch to default WP theme?
    Also, please check our article about that issue here – https://updraftplus.com/problems-with-extra-white-space/

    Hi,
    Thanks for quick answer,

    I’ve read already the article about white-spaces problems. As I told you, it’s not the first time it happens to me and I’ve already spent a long time fixing it last time.

    This time I’m running out of solutions : Before changing the theme, I just disable the child theme to able again the parent theme (=>Astra), and there was no more extra-white space problem.

    Si I’ve try to remove files in the child-theme one by one, and obviously this was because of functions.php.

    The problem was that this file was already totally minify… But after a while I realize I’ve push four times the “enter” button, an action which have created 5 unnecessary lines….

    And that was all ! I delete these lines, no more whitespace problem 🙂 🙂

    Hope that will help someone else one day 🙂
