Where is wp-content/uploads ?

Okay I’ve been at this all night and finally decided to ask you guys because i haven’t gotten a straight answer through google search…

I just installed WordPress v3.2.1 to my website: http://willsketchharris.com/home
but when I go to read the documentation for my new theme it mentions changing the permissions to #777 on “wp-content/uploads”.
Clearly I don’t see that “uploads” folder anywhere in my directory. What happened to it.

But that post was 2 years old and the “resolved” part is still not clear.

I noticed that under the options Setting >> Miscellaneous it was still expecting the old folder name to exist. I changed the folder name to the new one and everything works as expected.

I don’t know what he’s looking at when he says “setting >> miscellaneous. Where is that on the dashboard?
I’m running 3.2.1 so Im not exactly that his resolution means anything for me.
