Where is the HTML?

    Why cant i edit the html for themes in wordpress? I go to the “editor” feature but i can only see to edit is CSS and PHP files.I mean something simple like editing the H1 text when the theme has no place to do that. I dont think it makes much sense not to be able to edit anything you want in a theme. Obviously im just a newb to this so be gentle. lol

    the html is mixed in with the php if you look closely at the code

    the files are just .php extensions, but html can be used in php files
