• An SEO site said I had good “title length” and “description length” but bad “keyword length”. Where do you change keyword length? I didn’t know I ever typed in any keywords, unless keywords means tags.

I got the message below on an SEO site:

    Keywords Length:
Keywords meta should be maximum 260 characters. Longer than that would be recognized as spam by search engines.
Keywords are longer than 260 characters

The link says that the “default installation of WordPress does not contain the description and keywords meta tag data”.

I have never added meta data. I checked the header.php page and there was

    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="<?php bloginfo('html_type'); ?>; charset=<?php bloginfo('charset'); ?>" />

Maybe the theme added Meta Data elsewhere? I’ll check with them.

Maybe SEO site is referring to 6 month old pre-wordpress version of the site.
