Where are you trying to show them? Are you using the #_EVENTIMAGE placeholder within the formatting settings?

I am using the placeholder. However, when creating an event, there is no option to add an event image. I can add a featured image, but there is no dialog for entering an event image.
This is my first time using Event Manager, so I cannot compare to previous experiences to determine whether anything is missing from the Add Event form in the Admin panel.
did you already enable user capability upload_event_images under events > settings > general > user capabilities?
That box is checked for the correct user levels.

Event images are featured images. Once you’ve added a featured image to an event, you should be able to see it on your site provided you’re using the #_EVENTIMAGE placehodler within your formatting.

I am using a theme developed specifically for the company I’m working with. It might be that the Theme itself is prohibiting featured images. I’ll have to dive a bit deeper, it seems.
Thank you for helping me to understanding that #_EVENTIMAGE is drawn from the set “featured image” for the event post. This is not stated plainly in documentation.
