• http://www.gkns.ie has a string of X’S appearing on the header of it,
how they got there is beyond me,
hosting say its not there fault yet if i create a folder in filezilla in root it will show the x’s in the URL, http://www.gkns.ie/temp
I updated WP, THEMES, deactivated all plugins etc, swapped to different theme and still there,
hosting did suggest that “added something to the header/footer
definitions in the CMS that is adding the XX’s.”

if i did a clean install of WP how can this happen?
where can i find these header/footer definitions in WP?

This is a freebie site i did for a school and would love to sort this out,
    would appreciate any help –
    thanks
    T

Have you contacted your theme’s vendors of this issue? It would seem it’s a bug in their theme as you’ve said it’s in a fresh install of it.

I tried that, they appear if I activate the twenty ten theme too…..
Site has been up and running for over 2 yes but these only appeared within past few weeks.

If it exists on something outside of WordPress then I would just double-check with your hosting providers, because maybe they’ve misunderstood the issue

    Looks like hosting issue alright,
Finally they came back with a possible explanation (Web firewall)

    thanks
