EM and EMPro should work even though your pro subscriptions is expired however you won’t be able to access pro supports and empro updates.
Thanks!
Can you tell me where the custom booking forms are though? I feel like a total noob, but I was certain there had their own tab… I just can’t see them anymore.
You should find them under Events > Forms Editor.
Are you certain the Pro plugin is still listed as active on the Plugins page?
Actually, both are activated. Could they be clashing? Should I still be able to see Custom Forms?
That’s fine – both Events Manager and EM Pro needs to be active to run the full Pro version.
Which version of the plugins do you have?
EM is version 5.5.3.1.
EM Pro is version 2.1.4.
I also have an odd error message at the top of my dashboard, which reads:
“Due to some inevitable changes to some code in Events Manager, it is necessary to use Pro 2.3.7.7 or later. We have disabled the Pro plugin as a safety precaution.
Click here for detailed information about this change, which includes some simple instructions for fixing older versions of Pro without requiring an update.
Only Administrators see this message. To hide critical messages and prevent this safety measure, you can add define(‘EMP_DISABLE_CRITICAL_WARNINGS’, true); as a new line in your wp-config.php file.”
did you try to add define('EMP_DISABLE_CRITICAL_WARNINGS', true); in your wp-config.php
No, I’ve forgotten all about that. I think this will be the fix. I’mhaving trouble logging in right now (another issues, unrelated). Once I have access again I will add that line of code and post back here. 🙂
Ok, finally got back in. 🙂
I added this line of code:
define(‘EMP_DISABLE_CRITICAL_WARNINGS’, true);
to wp-config.php, but the error message I posted two posts ago is still showing in my Dashboard. Should it have gone away?
Also, I went to http://wp-events-plugin.com/blog/2014/04/15/important-changes-to-5-5-3-and-pro-2-3-8-versions/ to read about the changes, and I’ve replaced the first two lines of code:
function build_sql_conditions
with this:
public static function build_sql_conditions
And this:
function get_default_search
with this:
public static function get_default_search
both in file /events-manager-pro/add-ons/coupons.php
However I was not able to find the third line of code:
define(‘EMP_VERSION’, ’123′);
in file /events-manager-pro/events-manager-pro.php.
Any suggestions?
I am unable to update Pro, but I should still be able to see my custom booking forms, and they are still missing. 🙁
Have you confirmed the files are actually on the server and that there isn’t a permissions issue?
Well, after I’d replaced the lines of code I copied them back to the server (via FTP) and overwrote the old ones, if that’s what you mean… So yes.
As for permissions, I didn’t alter anything… Can I simply check in file properties?
