What to do with a dark background?

    Hi there,

    I love your event calendar plugin! It’s lovely and so easy to use.

    I am having an issue though. I need to find a way to add a white background to the Default Event Template pages. I have a dark site and the event pages have some white content areas and some areas with no background and the content in the blank areas doesn’t show up on my site background.

    I have to use the Default template because if I use my site’s page templates (with a white background for page content), none of the event information shows up at all.

    I’m not a developer though. How can I add a white background to the event pages in a way that is manageable for a newbie?

    I can easily add custom CSS to my theme if that helps? I could potentially target the event pages but don’t know how or what they’re called so that I can do that.

    Either way, is there a solution? Thanks in advance!

    Hi @arielg,

    Thanks for reaching out–and thanks so much for the kind words! 🙂 You’re right in that CSS seems like the way to go here, and we just so happen to have a Knowledgebase article on the topic of custom CSS for our plugins. If you have an idea of which CSS selectors to target, this should be enough to get you started! If not, this article on Chrome’s Developer Tools should help you to locate the right selector, experiment with different backgrounds, and get the right bits added to your CSS file.
