• seems like many are confusing and difficult to learn and understand. which one should I be using? Yoast free seems to be ok. the paid version is $89 a year which I’m not sure I want to spend that much.

What SEO plugin do everyone else use?

  • Define “best”?

To be honest, any SEO plugin will help a bit, but it’s not the magic gateway to high rankings. Anyone that thinks that will only be sorely dissapointed.

If you want to rank well, the same old standard still apply, no matter what. Content is king, so add content regularly. Make it human-readable. Share your site around with other relevant sites. Do that and you’ll get results 1,000,000’s of times better then from any SEO plugin.

@macgig, These are support forums (and yes the “Everything else WordPress” is also a support forum), and you need to ask pragmatic support questions. Asking “What SEO plugin is best” is not a support question.
