• stop making this a super [quack]y plugin and just make it work again like it used to in the old days. if you were near me i would shake you until you got your sense back. please realize that your developers and programmers have completely [quack]ized this once monumental wordpress resource. you should be ashamed of yourselves.

everyone is thinking it and i just came right out and said it. seriously STOP! the [quack] dont work anymore with any version of wordpress. make it work.

  • I can only agree. It’s still not working. I tried everything to solve some things, even design is difficult. UI of admin is totally worst than old. I prefer tab system.

any existing solution to 2.0.40 version? I have downgraded the version to 0.33 and it’s still no working

    MEN, I HAVE THE SOLLUTION!!

well at least it works on my site.

Firstly clean your browser cache. Then go to your wordpress to Other options – Miscellanius. Clean image Cache, go to the page or entry where you have the gallery and click on the image like if you want to make some changes, you don’t have to change anything, just click on save. Preview the page and theorically is working.

    * if doesn’t work, downgrade the version to 2.0.33, it’s my current version and what I tell above works 🙂

oh did you add a bunch of more useless options that no one needs to bloat the plugin and not work with any other plugins in the wordpress repo? please sign me up for the beta – i would love to break every website i ever built with minimal effort.

seriously though – its almost been a year since my company abandoned the plugin since you took it over – we just run 9.1.3 and all is good. the most recent version breaks every single website we ever installed it on. it conflicts with almost every slideshow plugin that used to support nextgen. the features of the plugin dont even function either. its just a shame what happened here. perfect example of a company buying out another company and NOT listening to the users of the product. you should have stopped almost a year ago and really evaluated a plan for rolling out updates. you put too much in too fast…

I must agree with above comments. The recent beta upgrade didn’t solve any of the remaining problems I’ve been having (no multilingual support with a pot text file, and uploading vertical images i.e. EXIF position CCW does not work properly, neither imagebrowser/EXIF, css updates have no effect on thumbnails in included widget…).

Hence I’ve replaced NGG on a couple of my largest sites with a well working fork of NGG 1.9.13, still upgraded and the e.g. the above working as they should – please find it yourself as this forum is not a proper place to promote other plugins.

I do still run a NGG testsite if you want to see what is working and what not there: http://www.bisnes-it.com/wordpress-ngg-test/

I might return to NGG 2.0.xx if at least the above functions are working, since some Pro features are actually usable 🙂

VesaT – this was actually really helpful…thank you for the link. Most of our issues are on the admin side of things. i just wish this plugin never got sold and stomped on so badly. i work for a very large web design and marketing firm…and this plugin has cost us so much money in man hours and troubleshooting and has slowed our server upgrade audits to a crawl because every time a client or someone internally upgrades nextgen – its like Hiroshima and Nagasaki all over again.

Last Beta causes redirect loop on my site. I tried to turn off all plugins and nothing.

@bengo-matus – I would strongly recommend starting your own topic as I cannot imagine how in any way your issue is related to the OP.

    Thanks!
