Maybe you could try using a hex editor to take them out. Make sure to back up your file first! Start by taking 2 or 3 out and see what happens.

By any chance, did you cut and paste your text from another application like M$Word? If so, try doing a first cut and paste into Notepad before cut and pasting into WP. Alternatively, you can use a program resident like HovText to automatically strip parasite caracters before pasting.
