The website almosthomeusa.com has a very strange problem when viewed on mobile devices. The horizontal menu is, of course, converted to a drop-down list on mobile devices. On the homepage, the drop-down simply doesn’t work. You touch it and nothing happens. Nada. Zilch.

BUT, on all other pages of the site, it works fine. Touch it, get a big list of links, touch the link you want and that page loads. This is the strangest thing I’ve seen in at least a year!

There do not appear to be navigation problems in Chrome, Firefox, Torch, etc. browsers.

All plugins are up-to-date. The theme is WP Pro Real Estate 4. There is a child theme called almosthome. As far as I know, the child theme was developed by: http://wp.contempographicdesign.com/

The navigation menu is loaded by this function ct_nav(); which is called in header.php : I can’t seem to find the actual function code anywhere! Not in either theme folder, as far as I can tell. It would be helpful to see the code for that function, to say the least.

I’ve made a few tweaks to improve the mobile experience but this one has me stumped.

    – The mobile compatibility is theme-dependent.

    – As you use a commercial theme/plugin and need support, please use their official support channel. We feel they are best equipped to support their products.

You are correct in that. But the site owners tell me that they have had no answer from the developer regarding any of the mobile compatibility problems. I’ve fixed the ones I could but this one left me baffled. Other things are broken as well…

We will make another attempt to get some support from the developer but I’m not optimistic at this point. That’s why I posed the question here, in case anyone might have seen a similar problem and had any ideas for solving it.
