Hi, thanks for writing on the forums.

I browsed there and hovered the mouse over one of the event titles on the monthly calendar view.

I don’t immediately see the symptom — for me, on Firefox or on Chromium browser, I don’t see a tooltip. (I put a screenshot at the end of this post, to show what I’m seeing.)

Is the symptom still happening for you? Would you describe any additional steps, if you can, that would be needed for me to be able to see the symptom?

    Hi mjjojo,

    Thanks for the reply.

The details should be coming up as a tooltip, but it’s not. As you can see, there’s /* at the beginning and /*>*//* at the end. Looks like some parts were meant to be commented out.

    I’m having the same problem.

My solution was traced to W3 Total Cache. That plugin was updated recently and must have a conflict with Events Calendar.

I disabled Minify under General Settings and my Events Calendar was restored, with tooltips now displaying properly. I did this on 2 sites with the same problem and it fixed them both.

    Hi @lordxtina,

Thanks for reaching out, adn for using The Events Calendar!

Do you happen to also have W3 Total Cache enabled and does disabling the setting as described by @pixelaid work for you as well?

    Best,

    Shelby 🙂

    Hi Shelby and @pixelaid,

Thanks for the reply. Indeed we have W3 Total Cache, but we don’t want to disable that as it will affect our site’s speed.

Any other solution? Perhaps an update on the code?

    Cheers,
    Lord

    Hi @lordxtina,

Thanks for following up here! You shouldn’t need to completely disable the W3 Total Cache plugin in order to resolve the issue–simply disabling “Minify” under the plugin’s General Settings should correct the problem without turning off caching entirely. Let us know if you’re willing to test this for us! In the meantime, we’ll review what we can do on our end in order to mitigate this type of issue in future product updates. Thanks for bringing the problem to our attention! 🙂
