    Hi,

We used an old version of wordpress and used this plugin to create a staging site and update everything and then copied the staging site to the live site and it worked. After this, the wp-staging plugin disappeared on the live site (because we did not install it on the staging site?) and once I downloaded it again and activated it, it ruins the entire css of the website and gives an error message on most pages “Access denied. You need to Login first”. The homepage is still accessible, but all the style changes will be completely removed. When I deactivate and delete the plugin then the website style and access goes back to normal. The website is http://www.gadjetsupply.com

I want to use this plugin but cannot because of this issue, can you please let me know about this? Thanks!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

@dnmdgj seems you copied over the database to the live site. If you did that, just delete the db option wpst_is_staging_site from table wp_options and you are fine.

Please let me know if that works.

Btw. How did you copied over the database, which plugin did you use or did you do it manually?

    Cheers
    René

Thanks a lot for the prompt response Rene. Where exactly do I find the wp_options where I can delete the wpst_is_staging_site? Thanks!

This is a database table which you can alter with any database administration tool like phpmyadmin or adminer.

Alternatively, you can enable the option delete all data on uninstall in wpstg settings. Than uninstall wp staging.

After that you can install wp staging again and its fine.

I am going to make sure that this process is easier in a future version of wp staging.

Hi Rene, thank you the delete all data option worked. However, when I try to clone the website in the scanning process it is just stuck on “Loading… may take a while for huge websites” and then finally in the cloning stage just says “Something went wrong, please try again”. I deleted plugin and reinstalled, same thing happens. Do you know what I can do about this please?

Did you enable the option to show file and DB size in wpstg settings?

    Deactivating this should resolve this.

If not, please follow this guide and send me a mail:

Its unusual that you get a timeout, so I really like to check this.

The File and DB Tables were all ticked if that is what you mean? Do you mean I should untick them all?

I have sent you a support ticket Rene and I look forward to your response, thank you
