Hi everyone, I’m new to wordpress development and website development in general. I have created this website and when I try to test it’s speed, I only get 4-11 score which is so bad. I have tried to optimize the image files already, is there anything else you guys can suggest for me to do?

Thank you so much for your reply, @manjitrv .

I am actually using Divi Theme for my website. According to Pingdom Tools, my page site is 2.3 MB. I have already resized the images used on the main page. On my first page, it is mainly just text, a slider, logo showcase, embeded contact form, embeded google map.

All media files are uploaded directly in wordpress.

Try to activate this plugin, this will allow you to enable cache. Also, try to reduce the plugin eliminating unnecessary plugins, this will decrease the number of requests.

There is nothing wrong with the theme, it’s one of the top-rated themes.
Its just a matter of images/content and server configuration.

This plugin might help you to resolve the issue. do not enable js compression.

I have activated the plugin. Is there any key settings that I should customize?

See the results: its no 65(Mobile) and 97(Desktop) on google respectively which is pretty good.

Why is it that I get only 7 when I try to input just the main url of the site? And it still loads after 7-9 seconds

Page is working fine for me. try disabling the map, instead use some image there. It will also speed up the site a bit.

    Hi,

A lot of methods to speed up your website speed. I have try some method, such as below :

    – install caching plugin.
    – what’s your hosting server you used? i recommend to use litespeed server.
    – use CDN service.
    – etc.

For the cache plugin, the best one is w3 total cache. This is easy cache plugin to setting up. And for the server, litespeed is better that apache. And lastly, for the CDN, you can setting your site with CDN.

The above method, I love litespeed server.
