• Hello everyone,

Basically, I got locked out of a WordPress account when I was trying to do some redirection with a website. I had a WordPress based site (development.ache-chea.ca) and I wanted my domain (ache-chea.ca) to show the WordPress site.
Because I wasn’t too sure on what to do, I blindly removed the “development” part out of the URL from the settings area. Now, I am unable to do anything.
Every time I go to http://development.ache-chea.ca, it redirects me to http://ache-chea.ca. When I try to log into WordPress through development.ache-chea.ca/wp-login.php, I cannot do that at all.
I’m not really sure what to do. I don’t want to re-install WordPress because all the content may get deleted and my coworker and I worked pretty hard on the website.

    Thank you so much.

Use this form of URL to access admin.

    servername/~username/development/wp-admin
    IPaddress/~username/development/wp-admin

    Hi Joe,

Thank you for your help. Quick question: what do you mean by “servername”? I’m a bit confused about that part.

your site is hosted upon A2 Hosting. According to them

“If you have a shared hosting account, add a2hosting.com to the Server Name value. For example, if cPanel displays a2s78 for your server name, then the complete server name is a2s78.a2hosting.com.”

I checked your PTR record. It is a2ss27.a2hosting.com

    Hope that helps.
