Website Hacked – Strange PDF Link

    When I do a site:mysite.com keyword search on Google, I’m getting hacked PDF links. Here’s an example:

    Search:
    site:abcthebank.com prescription

    Results:
    abcthebank.com/add/tadalafil-prescription.pdf
    abcthebank.com/…/finasteride-online-prescription.pdf
    abcthebank.com/add/viagra-canada-prescription.pdf
    etc…

    However, all these links are broken.
    Someone please help me figure the following:
    1. How is this likely to have happened?
    2. Did the PDF files actually exist at some points, then probably got cleaned, or these are just ‘staged links’? What then would be the purpose?
    3. How do make sure this is completely fixed?
