I would, but I don’t have a directory as above, and I have found a bunch of index.php files. Anu ideas?
you automatically land here when you ftp into your web space (sorry I should have explained this):

you should see an html directory, navigate into there, open the index.php, and copy and paste the contents for us to see.
No HTML directory.
When I FTP in, the directories are:
php_uploads
stats
wp-admin
wp-content
wp-includes
None have a sun directory named html.
ok, then you drop into /home/content/p/s/t/pstrachocki3/html
whats inside the index.php ?
(BTW, thats a very inconvenient setup you have there. Seemsingly your host doesnt provide you any access to an area thats not web-accessible.)

there is an index.php in the directory you are in.
what does it say inside it.
if this makes it any clearer. that wp-content directory you see is actually here:
/home/content/p/s/t/pstrachocki3/html/wp-content/
you dont know it .. but that is the FULL path.
remember we are looking for this:
/home/content/p/s/t/pstrachocki3/html/index.php
its the index.php that is in the SAME directory as your wp-config.php
I cannot make this any clearer. if you cant find the file, then step back, take a smoke break or whatever, then come back, re-read what I wrote and try again.
Taking breaks helps, and decreases the odds that you panic.
