Website field not accepting URL

When I enter the URL of an entrie’s website it keeps getting rejected as an Invalid URL, no matter how many times I retype the entry in. Its specific to the particular URL because I was able to add a different URL with no problem.
On a form we have I keep getting the email address I try to enter into the website field rejected saying its an invalid URL, which it isn’t, it links to the website just fine.
I have tried adding it in after I create the entry which it does allow me to do however the field isn not hyperlinked on the directory screen. I have deleted and reentered the entry as well with no luck.
