My site, alittledesignhelp.com was working fine this morning, but isn’t currently functioning at all. I was working on a post, but found I couldn’t upload photos or save my draft. I cannot update WordPress, either (I think I’m using the above version – can’t get on to check). Following is the error page that comes up when I try to do anything:

    Network Error (tcp_error)

A communication error occurred: “Operation timed out”
The Web Server may be down, too busy, or experiencing other problems preventing it from responding to requests. You may wish to try again at a later time.

For assistance, contact your network support team.

I checked my webhost, and my other site (non-Wordpress) seems to be working fine, as is my email from that same host. I figure that means it’s a WordPress issue. Any ideas? I can’t get in to do anything, so I’m not sure how to fix this! Thanks-

I can see your site just fine.

Interesting. I still can’t get it to come up at all! Same error message. Could a setting on my own computer be to blame? I haven’t changed anything, but I did restart to see if that would help. It didn’t.

It could be due to an issue with your computer or it could be a problem with your ISP. I’ve even known of similar cases where a cable modem/router has needed a reset.

I have internet access for everything else – just not my site. Could the modem/router/ISP still be an issue?

Well…a step in the right direction. I can get on my site, but I cannot get into the admin portion of it to make any changes. No access to my dashboard. Instead, I get the error message above. Ideas?

Just kidding. I cannot get on my site at all, and the link you offered doesn’t work either. I’ve tried accessing the site and the admin from both my laptop and from my desktop. I have all other internet access. I’m not sure who I should be contacting or talking to about this…I don’t understand why I have access everywhere else except my site!

And, my email works from this site…very odd.

My site is the same I thought it was due to me adding Google Analytical code yesterday, but maybe not then!!

I got in – but just briefly. I tried to update my WordPress version but could not. I tried to get to my draft post to edit, but got a “whoops! that page doesn’t exist” error page – on my site, not my dashboard. Why am I being routed to my site instead of to my post edit page?

    @adi451505,
Unless your site is on the same server, with the same host, running the same version of WordPress, the same theme and plugins, your problem is not the same. So, please start your own thread.

Hmmm…if you’re having the same issue, maybe WordPress IS having issues and no one knows yet? So frustrating…I’ve not had even one problem with my site in more than a year – since I started it. Not sure where to go from here.

Oh – and now I can see I’m running version 3.4.2.

I’ve had someone else try to access my site, from another state, and they are not able to get it to load, either.

Strange! I accessed your site again just now. And I am doing from across the globe, diametrically opposite to your location.

Please do not jump into conclusions. As I could see, and as Esmi explained above, the most likely reason could be your network. Anyway, let us find out.
