Website completely gone and some random message

    Hi,

    Can anyone please help me? My website has completely disappeared and all that can be seen when I try to view the site is:

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘1’ (T_LNUMBER), expecting ‘)’ in /home/gevent/public_html/wp-content/themes/genesis/header.php on line 24

    Someone built the site for me ages ago (as I am useless at this kind of thing) and I have no clue what I need to do. I´ve updated everything that I was told to update but it´s still there.

    Having same issue with a site built with Genesis framework. Have upgraded WP and the theme with no improvement. Tried disabling all the plugins and still would not work.

    After some searching I discovered that the header.php had been hacked with some malware. It added scripts beginning at line 24. I found a clean copy of header.php to see how it should look, and carefully edited out the javascript code. Once I saved it the site came back.

    I’m having the same problem but i know little to nothing about computers, i guess i am using the web app for wordpress because i do not see lines of code anywhere and have no idea how to fix the problem in line 24.
