I am using WebP Express for creating webp version of each image. Then the plugin is not protecting webp. Can I ask for this support, please?

    Thanks.

    Hi @hungpham,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

Yes, sure thing. We’ve always got your back.

Just to be sure, you’re refering to this WebP Express plugin, right?

To assist you better, could you please provide us with the following information?

    1. A sample protected file URL
    2. The hosting provider you’re using

Does our protection work with normal images on your site, by the way?

Yes, that is the plugin. You can just install and test yourself. And yes, the normal images seems to be protected fine. Thank you.

    Hi @hungpham,

    Thanks for the confirmation.

It turns out to be a known conflict. To be more specific, WebP Express plugin seems to overwrite our rewrite rules in .htaccess file, causing our file protection not to work correctly.

We have a solution to deal with the conflict using “Force Local Rewrite Rules” option, which is available in our PDA Gold version.

Please refer to our documentation here for more information:

How many webP files do you want to protect, by the way?

You might also want to drop us an email at hello(at)preventdirectaccess.com so that our team can support you faster.
