  • Hi @gaurab74,

Thanks for the screenshot. “Webhook failed to execute” can happen for a few reasons (the receiving server rejects the request, times out, or returns an error).

    Could you please:

    1. Copy your System Status Report from WooCommerce > Status > Get system report, then paste it into https://pastebin.com or https://gist.github.com
    2. Go to WooCommerce → Status → Logs and select the “webhooks-delivery” log for the date of the failure, copy the error line.
    3. Let us know what service or endpoint the webhook is pointing to.

You can also open WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → Webhooks → click the webhook → Deliveries to see each attempt’s response code and error message, and click “Send test” to re-send it. Those details will help us pinpoint the cause quickly.

    Hello @saivutukuru ,

    Thank you for your reply.

    WooCommerce Status : https://pastebin.com/MpTpbZCZ
    Webhook log : https://pastebin.com/r9cLJigF

I could not find WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → Webhooks → click the webhook → Deliveries. There is no Deliveries but there is a delivery URL but no option to send test.

    Regards,

    Gaurab

    Hi there!

Thank you for sharing the screenshot and system status report everyting is appearing fine in the report.

The log you shared showing delivery of the webhook to the external URL was technically successful from WooCommerce’s perspective.

To assist you further, could you please go to WooCommerce → Status → Tools and do the following:

    • WooCommerce transients – Clear
    • Expired transients – Clear
    • Clear template cache – Clear
    • Capabilities – Reset Capabilities
    • Clear customer sessions -Clear

Next, please clear your site cache if you are using any caching plugin and see if that resolves the issue.

If you still face the same problem, could you please install the WP Crontrol plugin and run the webhook again? Check if it fails again and whether it shows any error message:

Let us know what you find.

    Hello @shahzeenfarooq,

I have tried all your suggestions except installing one more plugin. What more can I do to find out the exect reason of Webhook failure.

Just to let you know, I deactivated WooCommerce plugin and when reactivation there was an error shown like some 5xx bytes extra was generated during activation or something similar. But the plugin got activated. I have manually updated the plugin because automatic update failed.

    Hi there,

Thanks for the update and the details you’ve shared. Since webhook failures are often related to scheduled actions, I’d recommend installing the free WP Crontrol plugin. This plugin will allow you to:

    1. Review all scheduled actions.
    2. Locate the failed webhook-related actions.
    3. Manually run a failed action to see the exact error message returned.

This can give us more insight into why the webhook is failing. Once you have the error details from WP Crontrol, please share them here so we can help troubleshoot further.
