    Hallo,

we see a lot of error messages like this: WARNUNG: Illegal string offset ‘.tag’. The backups seems to be fine. However, what exactly is wrong? The PHP version seems not to be the problem. One PHP 7.0 installation runs without any problems, others do not. Any ideas?

Hi @mkj2, in order to see exactly why it might be happening, I’d need to see a full debug log including this error.

You can generate a debug log as follows:

    1. Go to BackWPup > Settings > Logs and set Logging Level to Debug (not translated).
    2. Run the job again.
    3. Download the log file from Logs, and attach that in an email to support [at] backwpup.com.

I need the file itself because it contains metadata that is useful in debugging such errors.

@mkj2 are you still having this issue? I unfortunately cannot proceed further without a log.

    Hi @mkj2,

since we haven’t heard back from you, I’m going to mark it as resolved.
If you’re still having problems, feel free to let us know ;),

Well, it’s a bit erratic. Sometimes the error occurs, sometimes not. I’ve just tested it with debug on, but everything ran smoothly. Seems to be a minor issue anyway.

    Thanks, Mike
