Wacky Events Calendar

Have been having problems to get the events calendar to recognise my timezone (utc+12) and have just uploaded the latest version 6.5. Now it dosen’t display any events at all and is displaying like the calendar plugin that comes standard with wordpress!!! I have deactivated and deleted it from the plugins and tried re-installing it but it still picks up my old events (but dosen’t display them) and shows up in the sidebar as the stock standard calendar plugin!!! How do I delete it completely and all events and reload it as new?? Would love to use the plugin but is turning into a bit of a mission for a non-technical user. Wacky!
