W3C compliance confusion

Hi all,

I’m trying to make my website W3C compliant but I’m getting different results with each tool I use to check, most won’t come back with a simple yes or no.

For example in nu html checker, I have 12 warnings and no errors, which would lead me to believe I am W3C compliant?

Nibbler tells me I’m not W3C compliant having 26 errors and 26 warnings and site24x7 says I have 78 errors.

Can anyone tell me what I should draw from this. Am I W3C compliant if I have 0 errors or are you expected to have 0 errors and 0 warnings? Because surely nobody has that?
