    Hi,

I have a question about the caching involved with W3 Total Cache.
I have noticed when I update my page and then clear all caches using W3 Total Cache, I find that I also need to clear my browser cache as well, on desktop and mobile devices to be able to view my updated website material.
Is this common with W3 Total Cache? Because when I used another plug in Cache Enabler, and would clear the cache, it would automatically update my website after a simple refresh.

The reason I ask this question is I am wondering if this will be an issue for people visiting my site on a regular basis being unable to view my updated material due to their browser caching on their phones or desktops.

I didn’t have this issue after clearing the cache with Cache Enabler.

    Thank you for your help

    Hello,

This all depends on your Browser Cache settings. If you have Expires header set, disable it and enable “Set cache control header” with Cache-Control policy: cache with validation (“public, must-revalidate, proxy-revalidate”).
Save all settings and try in the new browser window with removed all caches there.
    I hope this helps.

Ok thank you Marko, my Expires header was selected. I will try with it disabled
