i’m working on subdomains in order to improve my website. The theme is Motopress Prime FSE. I also downloaded from Motopress the Getwid. The problem is that I don’t like Prime FSE home page and I would like to use one of Getwid pages instead. I wonder if it is possible?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @julaweg,

Yes, that works. Prime FSE is a block theme, so the homepage is just a template. You can swap it for a Getwid layout.

Since you have WPVibe, the easiest way is to let your AI assistant do it. In Claude or ChatGPT (with your site connected), ask something like:

“Create a new homepage using a Getwid template, set it as the front page, and clean up the theme’s front-page template if it gets in the way.”

It will handle the Reading settings and the template edits for you, and you can just describe what you want the page to look like.

    Two things before you start:

    • Check that Getwid is activated, not just installed (Plugins > Installed Plugins). I took a quick look at new.gozakopane.com and couldn’t see it loading yet.
    • Take a quick backup. The free Duplicator plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/) does a full-site backup in a couple of clicks, and it gives you an easy way back if you change your mind. Your homepage is still the stock Prime FSE demo with the lorem ipsum text, so you won’t lose anything custom either way.

If you’d rather do it by hand:

    1. Build the new page first. Go to Pages > Add New and insert the Getwid layout you like. Getwid has a template library (look for the Getwid icon in the editor toolbar, or add a “Template Library” block) where you can drop in a whole pre-designed page, then tweak it.
    2. Go to Settings > Reading, set “Your homepage displays” to “A static page”, and choose the page you just built.
    3. If the old homepage still shows up, that’s because Prime FSE ships a Front Page template that overrides the static page setting. Open Appearance > Editor > Templates and look for one called “Front Page”. Delete or reset it (the site falls back to your chosen page) or edit it so it only contains the Post Content block.

One tip: the theme and Getwid both come from MotoPress, so styling should mostly stay consistent. If fonts or colors look off after inserting the template, fix them under Appearance > Editor > Styles rather than block by block.

Let us know how it goes. If this sorted it out, marking the topic resolved helps others with the same question find it.
