Hi @siang7711,
What you are saying should be impossible. When you vote for an idea, you can click on the vote again, however by doing that it won’t add an additional vote, what it will actually do is remove or retract your vote (so the opposite) – so maybe this might be confusing you?
One WordPress user can only add 1 vote to per an idea. You might also want to check out any server level caching you might have enabled as maybe this is mucking things up with the database.
Otherwise if you can provide a link to the board in action I can test things out myself. Cheers,
Hi @siang7711,
Can you please remove the login details as it violates the forum guidelines. I also don’t provide this level of support to free plugin users. You will need to provide me a link to your live site only.
If you do want this level of support, I do recommend purchasing IdeaPush Pro and I can provide you email support and I can actually log into your site.
Thanks,
Hi,
Sorry for the trouble, I had remove login details.
Were you able to check what’s wrong with my ideapush plugin without login details?
Regards
Hi, I need a link to the site so I can see. Thanks,
Hi,
You need to enable guest voting from your board settings so I can actually cast a vote. Thanks,
HI,
I have enabled guest voting.
Thanks
I can’t replicate the ability to cast multiple votes for the same user.
Hello,
we actually have the same problem and are currently looking for the exact reason of the problem.
Please consider this a real bug!
@mwllgr until I can repeat it, it’s not a bug. Even when the original poster, provided an example it couldn’t be repeated.
I can only provide support on your website if you are a pro user, so this is one avenue in which I can diagnose specifically what might be happening on your environment.
Hi,
I’m just created a voting system with that plugin and it seem I’m having the same issue.
It is not immediately visible but after I created an idea and logged in the next day I can re-vote my own idea.
Also the “positive voters” are empty each new day and only the voters users from the current day being shown.
I have setup options as a challenge to automatically end it at a specific day, maybe this could be the the problem.
The thing is I had 5 user accounts yesterday and 10 votes on one idea which is impossible if the system would allow only one vote per user per idea.
Currently I’m trying to create a dev system (as the current voting is live) and trying to replicate the problem – I’m a pro-user so maybe we can find the problem for the specific situation and if it is a plugin problem it could be fixed for everybody else.
Hi @trover72,
It sounds like it could be a caching issue. If you are pro user, please complete this form here: https://northernbeacheswebsites.com.au/support/ so I can resolve your request ASAP. Thanks,
Hi,
I’ve written you a mail.
The abuse is hard to find as it is only there if more than one user had voted on an idea.
@all: I think the problem get resolved quickly.
Thanks @trover72 I will be looking into your email this morning. Thanks,
