Does the maximum 2MB apply to only photos or videos too?

— If you’re seeing a 2MB upload limit, that’s from your hosting provider, not WordPress. This is a PHP limit, and applies to all files you upload.

A warning though: simply because you can change the upload size does not mean you should use a Hollywood-quality video with a huge file size for the background: it would take forever to load and may never finish loading until the user clicks away, defeating the purpose.

I am assume i have to change the background and instead of choosing an image i have to drop the video?

The Gutenverse plugin has 3 options for the background: image, color (gradient), or video. To use a video background, you have to change the BACKGROUND TYPE to Video.

But you can also add a “fallback image” to the video background. This fallback images may be displayed:

— Immediately while the video is being fetched, or
— If the video cannot be displayed at all
