    Hi, after installing AO, my site starts to crash in some pages so I uncheked all the boxes and empty caches, and uninstall it.

    All works fine, but now I Cant use my visual editor. When I press Visual, nothing happens, and all my buttons (bold, italic, insert image,) are missing.

    I tried to reinstall Tiny MCE but the problems is still there.

    I think its something with js or css but i dont know what to do.

    I hope you can help me.

    Hi there surfero66;
    Once deactivated and unstalled, autoptimize can not possibly do anything any more (as it does not touch original JS/ CSS, but replaces it on the fly in the HTML as it is being created by WordPress). Moreover autoptimize is not, ever, active on wp-admin.

    So I’m afraid the only thing I can advise you, is to look at your browser’s (error) console to see if any JS error pops up that might indicate what is going on there.

    Regarding “my site starts to crash in some pages”; as explained in the FAQ optimizing (aggregating & minifying) CSS and esp. JS can sometimes break things, which you can unbreak by configuring not to touch certain CSS or JS. So if you want to optimize you site and you have some time, do have a look at the FAQ and don’t hesitate to post here if you have further questions on tweaking AO.

    kind regards,
    frank

    Hi Frank, thank you for your quick response.

    I dont know how I can check what is going wrong. I tried to use Firefox console but I dont know what I have to check or what is wrong on the code. 🙁

    I dont know what to do right now.

    Hi frank.
    It was qtranslator plugin. I think that autoptimizer changed some js and css files and cause the errors. They were modified, I dont know how the plugin cause the insue. I uninstalled it and installed qtranslator X (another plugin). And problem solved.

    Thank you for all.

    glad you figured that out surfero66, but (as I wrote in the ohter thread) AO never changes any of the original JS/CSS, so it must have been something else.

    have fun,
    frank
