Late last week my events calendar stopped allowing me to update the event description via visual editor. When I try to edit or create a new event, the visual editor is blank and no cursor shows up when I click on the form. However, my text editor works, but that does not allow me to add media like pictures and logos to my descriptions. Viewed on the website, nothing looks different and the text from previous events is there, but I cannot figure out why visual editor no longer works.

Well that’s unfortunate. Have you tried a conflict test? This guide walks you through how to test for a conflict, and then identify what is conflicting. Did you update any plugins or your theme last week? If so, you might start the test by disabling those first. Once you know what is conflicting it becomes possible to research a solution!

    Cheers!

Thank you for the guide. It looks like the problem is with our theme; we had some changes to the theme (theme1965) to deal with some security protocols. I checked the forums but didn’t see anyone with Events Calendar basic that had a coding problem with their theme and visual editor. Did I miss it?

    Thank you!

    Hi,

I have not seen any reports of the visual editor being broken in the admin, besides this one.

Are you able to check your Browser Console for javascript errors and see if that can help narrow down where the issue is on this?

    Let me know.

    Cheers
