Visitor Tracking PHP

    I have found a software that tracks visitors. It says:

    Version 3.0 Tracking Code:
    Copy the HTML Code below and place it in between the [<body>…</body> tag on your website on all pages that you would like to track. DO NOT MODIFY THE CODE or HIDE THE MVTRACKER LOGO in any which way. MVTracker checks your website periodically to make sure of this, if you are found to be tampering with the code your account will be suspended indefinately.

    Note: Please only place this code only once per page, multiple occurances will not increase your unique visitor count and will cause your stats to not be accurate.]

    My question: Exactly where is that in my blog’s theme editor? Where should I paste the code? In the “stylesheet” or “Main Index Template” or “Page Template” or where?

    I dont want to accidentally break the theme’s code.

    Personally you are better of using your host provided services like AWSTATS, Webalizer, Urchin or some other tool to track visitors to your site.

    Addint things to your generated pages for tracking will slow down the page generation unnecessarily.

    But if you really wanted to do it, then look at either “header.php” or “index.php” for your theme. Find the <body> section and insert their code there.
