• I have dozens of themes on my hard drive in zip files.

What is the easiest way to browse them to show people without having WP installed locally? Or, if it has to be installed locally, then what is the best way to be able to quickly look at all the themes? Where do I put them?

    Thank you.

  • You could install XAMPP or MAMP and then install WordPress locally, at which point you would simply copy the theme’s folders to wp-content/themes/ like you would on a hosted WordPress installation.

Also, since themes are supposed to have a file named screenshot.png that shows how the theme looks, you could extract that file from each of your theme’s ZIP file and place them all in a separate folder (renamed, of course) and view them all that way. Depending on your OS and your experience, you could even write a script that would do that automatically.
