• Here’s what I’ve got going. I’ve got a WP.com site. I am trying to migrate the site over to WP.org. I’ve got a host (Blue Host), I’ve transferred my domain flyfishnevada.com to Blue Host and I’ve un-mapped the domain from my WP.com site. I currently have the domain redirected to my WP.com address (flyfishnevada.wordpress.com).

I have WP.org in a subdirectory under my domain and I was hoping I could build a new site there and be able to view it. But when I try to access http://www.flyfishnevada.com/wordpress, I get redirected to flyfishnevada.wordpress.com. I tried changing the site address in settings>general but no luck.

How can I view this site or will it always follow the redirect? Can I set up a redirect for the subdirectory and if so, to where? I know I could set up a sandbox subdomain but it would be so much easier to just cancel the redirect when I’m ready than transfer from the sandbox.

Maybe this can’t be done. I suppose I will begin looking into how to move a site from a subdomain to the main domain.
