Thank you for reaching out. Currently, the native Tutor LMS video player does not support a manual video quality selector for self-hosted videos. The playback quality is automatically adjusted based on the user’s network conditions.

At the moment, Tutor LMS does not support a video quality selector (such as 1080p, 720p, or 480p) for self-hosted videos.
The reason is that WordPress is not a video streaming platform. Services like YouTube and Vimeo automatically encode and store multiple versions of each video at different resolutions, allowing viewers to switch between quality levels based on their internet connection.
With self-hosted videos in WordPress, only the single video file you upload is available, so there are no alternative resolutions to switch between. That’s why a quality selector isn’t available for self-hosted videos.
If adaptive video quality is important for your courses, we recommend using a dedicated video hosting service such as YouTube, Vimeo, or another streaming platform that supports multiple video resolutions and adaptive streaming.

YouTube does not provide an API that allows third-party video players to control or manage video resolution selection.
